Help us get a trailer for disaster relief efforts

Hi, my name is Brian Rock. I am a disabled veteran with a mission to serve those in need after natural disasters. I opened up a mobile wood fire pizza company called Elevated Pie Co. in 2020 with the dream of being able to serve those in need a hot meal free of charge. All of the profits from the local markets we serve go back to the community in the form of free pizza.

In August of 2020 I was able to travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and serve 150 pizzas free of charge to the residents of the Derecho that devastated the community. That was my first time going out with my Operation Pizza Front mission and I knew it wouldn't be my last.

In June of 2021, an EF-3 tornado ripped apart the community of Naperville, Illinois. I woke up on Monday and saw the devastation and packed up the truck again with a mission to help. I was able to serve 75 pizzas to the residents of the Woodridge subdivision who had no power, water, or gas. Most of the houses were torn apart. The residents told me how amazed they were that I traveled from Indiana to serve them, but to me it was what I felt I needed to do. They needed food. I was able to go back, also feeding the residents of the Ranchview subdivision another 75 pies.

I currently have the oven on a 1983 Chevy and its great for local events but with the age of the truck and the amount of space needed to prep my dough and store ingredients, it makes it so I must go home every night to restock. I would like to be able to follow the disasters and set up for a prolonged period of time and serve 150 pizzas a day to the people who need it.

My dream is to get a 28 ft. enclosed trailer so that I can serve for longer durations and have all of my supplies with me. It would have cold storage for my dough which is needed as dough above 65 degrees has a shelf life of about three hours. Having the trailer would allow me to hit the road full time whenever it is needed, wherever it is needed in the country. The trailer will be a fully loaded kitchen capable of cranking out over 600 meals a day when fully staffed. I have spoken to a company who makes these trailers and have gotten a quote of about $70,000 fully built including a $2,000 discount. I have also spoken to one donor who is willing to help with almost a quarter of the cost of this trailer and he suggested that I try this to raise the rest with a fundraising campaign.

With your help, we can make this dream a reality.
